Welcome to the Website of Waterfall Rural Fire Brigade!

Waterfall is located in the Sutherland Shire and has a population of approximately 500 people with 170 residences. The township is 39 km from the Sydney CBD and is the last 'suburb' of the Sydney metropolitan area heading south towards Wollongong and the NSW south coast.

The town is sandwiched between the Royal National Park on the eastern side and Heathcote State Park on the western side. It it bisected north/south by the Princes Highway and the main Illawarra railway line (which parallel each other). Waterfall railway station is the public transport hub for the local area.

The fire station and community hall are located on the eastern side of the town, adjacent to the railway station carpark at the northern end of McKell Avenue (which is one of the main roads into the Royal National Park). The Brigade has about thirty active volunteer members and meets for training and equipment maintenance on a Wednesday night and Sunday morning with the general meetings held on the first Thursday evening of each month.
